About The Position

The Assistant General Manager provides overall leadership, supervision, and direction on strategic initiatives and operating standards to positively impact business results for selected front-of-house and back-of-house areas, under the guidance of the General Manager. The role oversees business operations, from minor details to the broader picture, and works to improve guest experiences and team performance in a fast-paced restaurant and entertainment environment. The position involves handling busy operating days, walking approximately five miles per shift, and working an average of 50 hours per week. The work environment may be fast-paced, noisy, and distracting, with weekend, night, and holiday work required.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
At least 5 years of restaurant or hospitality experience.
Proficiency in managing cost of goods sold and labor.
Strong business acumen.
Ability to lead a team to create a memorable guest experience.
Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment with distracting conditions.

Responsibilities

Promote positive employee relations through effective delegation of managerial duties and by fostering high staff morale.
Analyze financial reports and develop action plans to grow revenue and control costs to meet or exceed annual budgets.
Ensure staff training programs are executed.
Ensure staffing levels and management coverage meet business needs and maximize the customer experience.
Deliver a guest experience through food, drinks, and games.
Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
Continuously improve operational execution through attention to detail and adherence to operating standards and procedures.
Provide leadership, supervision, and direction for strategic initiatives and operating standards in assigned front-of-house and back-of-house areas.
