About The Position

The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in the day-to-day operation of the Residence Inn by Marriott Denver Central Park. The role helps deliver exceptional guest experiences, lead team members, and ensure operational excellence. It is intended for an aspiring General Manager seeking to advance their hospitality career. The Assistant General Manager may perform General Manager duties in the GM's absence and assist in any hotel department as business needs require.

Requirements

Preferred 1+ year of hotel leadership experience in a Select Service or Extended Stay property.
Valid driver's license required.
Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and ordering.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Brand experience with Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Hyatt, or a similar hotel brand.
Associate degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Support the hotel's daily operations to ensure outstanding guest service and operational efficiency.
Lead, coach, and motivate team members while promoting a positive work environment.
Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and developing hotel associates, including brand and safety training.
Help oversee scheduling, inventory, ordering, and operational procedures.
Ensure compliance with company policies, franchise standards, and standard operating procedures.
Assist with employee performance management, coaching, disciplinary actions, and documentation.
Resolve guest concerns promptly to ensure a positive guest experience.
Maintain accurate operational and financial records.
Conduct or assist with team meetings and ongoing staff communication.
Support sales and marketing initiatives and assist with group and travel agent requests.
Perform General Manager duties in the GM's absence.
Assist in all hotel departments as business needs require.
Perform other duties as assigned.
