About The Position

The Assistant General Manager - Sales supports the General Manager in running a smooth, welcoming, and enrollment-driven swim school. This people-first role involves connecting with families by phone and in person, keeping daily operations running to a high standard, and coaching the Front Desk team in sales and customer service. The position serves as Manager on Duty during assigned shifts and is responsible for the full operation of the school, stepping in across aquatics, the front desk, and facilities as needed. The role also supports a culture focused on child water safety, a welcoming customer experience, teamwork, and the school’s mission.

Requirements

1–2 years in a customer service, sales, or team support role.
Comfort communicating with families by phone and in person.
Able to learn new software; training on the company’s systems will be provided.
Organized, dependable, and proactive about following through.
Must obtain a Lifeguard Certification through Goldfish Swim School if not already certified.
Must be available for evening and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

Welcome members and families when they arrive and depart.
Keep the facility clean, organized, and ready for customers.
Oversee first-day swimmer procedures, including wristbands, tours, lane walks, and follow-up.
Manage daily enrollment goals by calling, texting, and following up with leads, and hold the Front Desk team accountable to the same standard.
Track lead pipeline, conversion rates, and enrollment trends, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to the General Manager.
Handle common objections and coach Front Desk staff to do so confidently.
Support and coach Front Desk staff through side-by-side guidance, regular feedback, and formal performance evaluations.
Issue corrective action when needed and make hiring recommendations to the General Manager.
Plan monthly community events and build local partnerships.
Serve as Manager on Duty during assigned shifts, oversee school operations, and support aquatics, front desk, and facilities as needed.
Ensure all areas are operating to the Goldfish standard.
