About The Position

The Assistant General Manager works with the General Manager to ensure smooth property operations at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The role oversees Front Office operations, including guest service, brand standards, room availability, cost controls, profitability, systems, department management, and implementation and enforcement of policies and procedures. The Assistant General Manager also manages the housekeeping and laundry department and performs some housekeeping responsibilities. The position offers an opportunity to work with experienced leadership and coworkers.

Requirements

At least 1–3 years of hotel Front Desk experience or prior Property Management experience.
Detail-oriented, with an emphasis on building guest relationships.
Available to work a flexible schedule, including mid-shifts and evenings, with weekend and holiday availability.

Nice To Haves

Prior brand hotel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage Front Office operations, including guest service, brand standards, room availability, cost controls, profitability, systems use and management, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement, and meeting participation and facilitation.
Monitor and encourage team member performance and assist with training needs.
Coach, evaluate, and reward team members.
Assist with scheduling and the employee review process.
Monitor guest satisfaction reviews and scores with the General Manager and make improvements accordingly.
Ensure compliance with Marriott and Lafrance standards.
Greet guests and respond to inquiries, requests, and issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner; resolve guest concerns.
Manage the housekeeping and laundry department and perform some housekeeping responsibilities.
