About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations. The role includes mentoring team members to provide fast, friendly service and ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience. The position also involves maintaining store facilities, supporting inventory and vendor deliveries, completing required paperwork, and assisting with training and other store needs.

Requirements

• At least one year of retail experience.
• General computer knowledge.
• Ability to read, write, and operate electronic equipment and process sales transactions.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have reliable personal transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to stand at all times.
• Ability to kneel, lift, and bend up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operation of the store.
• Mentor team members to provide fast and friendly service and ensure a great customer shopping experience.
• Maintain a courteous and friendly attitude.
• Stock and restock merchandise throughout the facility.
• Check in vendor deliveries.
• Complete required paperwork, including shift reports, gas reconciliation, and cigarette counts.
• Assist in training team members.
• Assist the Store Manager as needed.
• Ensure the physical maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of store facilities.
• Perform other related duties as required.
