About The Position

Nouria Energy Corporation is a multi-generational, family-owned wholesale fuel distributor, convenience store operator, and car wash operator in New England. The company operates more than 150 company-operated convenience store locations and supplies branded and unbranded fuel to more than 300 locations across New England and New York. The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations and mentoring team members to provide fast, friendly service and a positive customer shopping experience. Responsibilities include maintaining store facilities and supporting the Store Manager as needed. The position requires working any shift during store operating hours, including weekends.

Requirements

At least one year of retail experience.
General computer knowledge.
Ability to read, write, and operate electronic equipment and process sales transactions.
Good communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds; the physical requirements also state that the employee must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
Ability to traverse and access all areas of the store.
At least 21 years of age.
Own reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Availability to work any shift within store operating hours and on weekends.

Responsibilities

Maintain a courteous, friendly attitude.
Stock and restock merchandise throughout the facility.
Check in vendor deliveries.
Complete required paperwork, including shift reports, gas reconciliations, and cigarette counts.
Assist with training team members.
Assist the Store Manager as needed.
Ensure the physical maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of store facilities.
Perform other related duties as required.
