About The Position

The Assistant Front-End Manager supports the Front End Manager and helps oversee front-end operations. The role includes communicating with and training team members on job functions, monitoring schedules and staffing coverage to support guest service and productivity, communicating sales and promotional information, reporting pricing errors, and managing front-end supplies within established budgets and guidelines. Work is generally performed in a safe and comfortable store environment, with possible frequent exposure to hot or cold conditions.

Requirements

Minimum age of 21 years.
Ability to perform the physical and sensory demands of the role, including standing, walking, bending, grasping, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, twisting, crouching, reaching, repetitive-motion tasks, coordination, and responding to customer inquiries.
Ability to maneuver objects weighing up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

Ensure team members are continually informed and properly trained on job responsibilities, including guest checks, over-rings, refunds, WIC, Absolute Card, security issues, register-fund counting, guest services, price changes, store-product locations, and produce codes.
Stay informed about ad items, special prices, coupon deals, and other store sales-program features, and communicate them to the front end.
Immediately notify appropriate personnel of pricing errors or items not found in the file.
Establish and monitor team-member work schedules to support guest service, productivity, and efficiency; observe front-end coverage during high-volume periods and arrange additional help as needed.
Ensure front-end supplies, including bags, register tapes, office forms, and cleaning supplies, are available and properly controlled and used within established budgets and guidelines.
Support the Front End Manager with assigned tasks.
