Assistant Food Manager
About The Position
Kwik Trip is seeking an energetic, outgoing, and positive Assistant Food Manager to oversee its food program and help serve the community. The role includes preparing food, delegating tasks, training coworkers, resolving customer complaints, setting an example of excellent customer service, keeping the team focused on daily goals, assisting with merchandising, and ensuring high-quality customer service every day. The position is based at Kwik Star 1119, pays $16.50–$22.26, and has a variable shift, primarily 2nd shift. Actual pay depends on qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency, and internal equity. The role is part of a family-owned company that shares 40% of pre-tax profits with coworkers and offers opportunities to develop skills for other challenges and leadership roles.
Requirements
- Available to work full-time (40 hours per week), primarily 2nd shift.
- Great people skills.
- Enjoy a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to problem-solve challenges and shift priorities quickly.
- Desire to help others.
- At least 6 months of food experience, including customer service and food preparation.
- Ability to motivate others to complete tasks and meet goals.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and walk or stand for up to 8–10 hours per day.
