Assistant Food Manager
About The Position
Kwik Trip is seeking an energetic, outgoing, and positive Assistant Food Manager to oversee the food program and help make a difference in the communities the company serves. The role includes preparing foods, delegating tasks, training coworkers, resolving customer complaints, setting an example for excellent customer service, keeping the team focused on daily goals, assisting with merchandising, and ensuring high-quality customer service every day. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, primarily on second shift, with a variable shift listed. Some weekend and holiday availability is required. The role involves maintaining a clean and inviting store and working in a fast-paced environment. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and walking or standing for up to 8–10 hours per day. Kwik Trip is a family-owned company that shares 40% of pre-tax profits with coworkers. Assistant Food Managers may develop skills for other challenges and leadership roles within the company.
Requirements
- Available to work full-time (40 hours per week), primarily second shift.
- Great people skills.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to solve problems and shift priorities quickly.
- Desire to help others.
- At least 6 months of food experience, including customer service and food preparation.
- Ability to motivate others to complete tasks and meet goals.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and walk or stand for up to 8–10 hours per day.
- Some weekend and holiday availability required.
