About The Position

Parts Authority is seeking an Assistant Dispatcher for a high-energy, fast-paced work environment. The role supports the lead Dispatcher by helping schedule driver routes and ensure accurate, on-time deliveries. The Assistant Dispatcher uses dispatch software to track orders from other stores and distribute runs to drivers, coordinates with Parts Pullers and drivers, and assists customers with order updates. The role also includes supporting drivers with route difficulties, promoting workplace safety, and securing and transferring cash or other assets. The listed hourly rate is $18.50.

Requirements

1–2 years of experience working as an assistant dispatcher or dispatcher.
Extensive knowledge of area roads.
Experience working with multiple drivers.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working in an auto parts store is preferred.

Responsibilities

Help schedule drivers’ routes and ensure accurate, on-time deliveries.
Use the dispatch program to track orders from other stores and set up and distribute runs to drivers.
Support the lead Dispatcher by ensuring drivers count collected money and record delivery times on bills.
Work with Parts Pullers to help ensure deliveries go out correctly.
Work with drivers and verify they know the correct route.
Contact customers by phone to update them on the status of their orders.
Assist drivers who have difficulty with routes or other aspects of the job.
Work well with customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain and promote workplace safety.
Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
