About The Position

Parts Authority is hiring an Assistant Dispatcher to help schedule driver routes and ensure on-time, accurate deliveries in a high-energy, fast-paced work environment. The role supports the lead Dispatcher and involves tracking orders, distributing driver runs, coordinating with Parts Pullers and drivers, and updating customers about order status. The posted minimum hourly rate is $16.50.

Requirements

1–2 years of experience working as an assistant dispatcher or dispatcher.
Extensive knowledge of area roads.
Experience working with multiple drivers.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working in an auto parts store is preferred.

Responsibilities

Use the dispatch program to track orders from other stores and set up and distribute runs to drivers.
Support the lead Dispatcher in ensuring drivers count collected money and record delivery times on bills.
Work with Parts Pullers to help ensure deliveries go out correctly.
Work with drivers and verify they know the correct route.
Work with customers over the phone to update them on order status.
Assist drivers who have difficulty with routes or other aspects of the job.
Work well with customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain and promote workplace safety.
Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
