About The Position

Parts Authority is a national distributor of automotive replacement parts, tools and equipment, and transmissions. The Assistant Dispatcher helps schedule driver routes and ensure deliveries are accurate and on time in a high-energy, fast-paced work environment. The role supports the lead Dispatcher, coordinates with drivers, Parts Pullers, and customers, and helps keep workplace operations safe. The position is described as full-time and offers an hourly rate of $16.50.

Requirements

1–2 years of experience working as an assistant dispatcher or dispatcher.
Extensive knowledge of area roads.
Experience working with multiple drivers.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working in an auto parts store.

Responsibilities

Use the dispatch program to track orders from other stores and set up and distribute runs to drivers.
Support the lead Dispatcher in ensuring drivers count collected money and record delivery times on bills.
Work with Parts Pullers to help ensure deliveries go out correctly.
Work with drivers and verify that they know the correct route.
Contact customers by phone to update them on order status.
Assist drivers who have difficulty with routes or other aspects of the job.
Work well with customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain and promote workplace safety.
Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
