About The Position

Parts Authority is seeking an Assistant Dispatcher for its fast-paced work environment. The role helps schedule driver routes and ensure accurate, on-time deliveries. The Assistant Dispatcher uses dispatch software to track orders from other stores and distribute delivery runs, supports the lead Dispatcher, coordinates with parts pullers and drivers, and updates customers about their orders. The position also involves helping drivers with route or job difficulties, promoting workplace safety, and securing and transferring cash or other assets. The listed minimum pay is $17.63 per hour.

Requirements

1–2 years of experience working as an assistant dispatcher or dispatcher.
Extensive knowledge of area roads.
Experience working with multiple drivers.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working in an auto parts store.

Responsibilities

Use the dispatch program to track orders from other stores and set up and distribute runs to drivers.
Support the lead Dispatcher by ensuring drivers count collected money and record delivery times on bills.
Work with Parts Pullers to help ensure deliveries go out correctly.
Work with drivers and verify that they know the correct route.
Contact customers by phone to update them on the status of their orders.
Assist drivers who have difficulty with routes or other aspects of the job.
Work well with customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain and promote workplace safety.
Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
