About The Position

The Assistant Director is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the school in collaboration with the School Director, supporting Learning Care Group’s safety vision. In the Director’s absence, the Assistant Director has sole responsibility for the school. The role supports the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children; ensures compliance with company and state licensing standards; fosters an educational, caring, and safe environment for children and parents; promotes the company’s image; recruits, selects, and retains quality staff; and helps achieve company profitability.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have at least 2 years of Assistant Director experience in a licensed child care facility.
• Must meet state requirements for education and the center/school’s requirements.
• Must have a North Carolina Level 1, 2, or 3 credential.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field is preferred.
