About The Position

The Assistant Director of Outpatient is responsible for managing and directing the activities of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and facility policy, goals, and objectives. This position contributes to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational and quality improvement efforts, while providing guidance to the, Program Therapists, & Program Interns. The Assistant Director of Outpatient performs the duties of the Director of Outpatient in their absence.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree specializing in social work or a clinical related mental health area, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility.
  • Current LPC, LMSW, LPC-A license issued by the State of Texas.
  • CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Management of Aggressive Behavior training within 90 days of employment.
  • Thorough knowledge of JCAHO/HCFA, OSHA, state and federal regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Providing guidance to the Program Therapists and Program Interns.
