Assistant Director of Nursing - ADON
About The Position
Creative Solutions in Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and reliable Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). This leadership role supports quality resident care, staff needs, and regulatory compliance in a dynamic care environment. The role calls for dependability, strong clinical judgment, multitasking, and collaboration. The Assistant Director of Nursing may assist with floor staffing and contributes to resident-care programs including MDS, care planning, Performance Improvement, and Infection Control. The position oversees nursing staff, resident documentation, individualized care planning, staff resources, and infection-control practices.
Requirements
- Be a licensed nurse in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
- Have strong technical skills and proven leadership or management experience.
- Have a background in geriatric or long-term care nursing.
- Demonstrate a restorative care philosophy and strong assessment and communication skills.
- Have working knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist with floor staffing when needed.
- Contribute to MDS, care planning, Performance Improvement, and Infection Control programs.
- Hire, train, evaluate, assign, and delegate nursing duties according to census and budget needs.
- Review and maintain accurate, up-to-date resident records.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing teams, and consultants to develop individualized care plans.
- Ensure staff have timely access to equipment, supplies, and other care resources.
- Conduct assessments and implement effective infection-control measures.
