Assistant Director of Day Services
About The Position
Mozaic (A Chapter of The Arc NY) is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director of Day Services to provide leadership and oversight to assigned Day Services programs in Seneca and Yates Counties. The role works closely with the Director of Day Services to support high-quality, person-centered services, program operations, staff development, and regulatory compliance. The Assistant Director will help develop teams, strengthen programs, and create meaningful opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The position is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Locations include Penn Yan in Yates County and Waterloo/Seneca Falls in Seneca County. Mozaic is a not-for-profit organization serving the Finger Lakes Region and supporting more than 2,000 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Requirements
- Five years of leadership experience required.
- A combination of relevant education and/or work experience will be considered.
- Minimum education and experience requirements may only be waived by the Executive VP of Administration.
- Collaborative leadership approach and commitment to quality, person-centered services and developing strong teams.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight to assigned Day Services programs.
- Supervise and support Planning Coordinators and Managers of Service.
- Promote engaging, person-centered programs for the people supported.
- Support staff development, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Help ensure programs meet quality and regulatory compliance standards.
- Collaborate across departments to support positive outcomes, health, and safety.
- Partner with the Director of Day Services to strengthen program quality and service delivery.
- Help create meaningful experiences and opportunities for the people supported.
