About The Position

The Assistant Director of Concessions supports the overall leadership, execution, and financial performance of all concessions operations within the venue. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day operations, driving revenue, controlling costs, and ensuring all stands deliver a consistent, high-quality guest experience. The Assistant Director works closely with Concessions Managers, Warehouse, Culinary, and Operations teams to ensure all locations are fully prepared and executed at a high level.

Requirements

  • Management experience in concessions or a related high-volume food and beverage environment.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.

  • Proficiency in financial management, including P&L, labor control, and inventory management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of POS systems and inventory management software.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service.

  • Experience in stadium or arena operations.
  • Familiarity with NPO group management.
  • Experience with menu development and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of all event-day concessions operations across the venue
  • Ensure all stands are set, stocked, and staffed appropriately prior to gates opening
  • Monitor in-event performance, ensuring stands remain open and operational through peak periods and event end
  • Provide strong event-day leadership presence, troubleshooting issues and supporting stand teams in real time
  • Assist in managing Concessions Managers, Supervisors, Stand Leads, and hourly staff
  • Lead pre-event meetings and communicate expectations, priorities, and service standards
  • Coach and develop team members, building a strong bench of future leaders
  • Reinforce accountability and ensure consistent execution across all levels
  • Support revenue growth initiatives, including stand optimization, product mix, and upselling strategies
  • Monitor labor deployment to ensure alignment with budgets and operational needs
  • Partner with Warehouse and Purchasing teams to manage inventory, reduce waste, and control COGS
  • Assist in reviewing post-event financials, including sales, labor, and variance reporting
  • Collaborate with Warehouse and Culinary teams to ensure accurate ordering, stocking, and product availability
  • Ensure all stands meet par levels prior to events to minimize in-event call-downs
  • Support implementation and adherence to inventory systems and processes
  • Assist in resolving product shortages or operational gaps quickly and effectively
  • Ensure all concessions locations deliver fast, friendly, and efficient service
  • Support initiatives to reduce wait times and improve transaction speed
  • Address guest concerns and service issues promptly to maintain a positive experience
  • Drive consistency in presentation, cleanliness, and overall stand readiness
  • Partner with IT on POS functionality, troubleshooting, and staff training
  • Work with Maintenance and Facilities teams to ensure all stands are operational and compliant
  • Collaborate with Culinary on menu execution, product quality, and new offerings
  • Support NPO (Non-Profit Organization) groups to ensure understanding of processes and expectations
