About The Position
As an Assistant Shoe Department Manager at Von Maur, you represent the company and contribute to its reputation as America’s Leading Department Store. You support retail growth by building and maintaining relationships, optimizing merchandising, and developing associates to deliver top-tier customer experiences. The role combines department leadership with the duties of a shoe sales associate, including meeting individual sales and account goals. You must be available to work a rotation of day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities
- Motivate associates to deliver outstanding customer service by training, coaching, and leading by example.
- Develop relationships to grow department business.
- Perform all duties of a shoe sales associate and meet individual sales and account goals.
- Assess associate performance to improve service quality, increase sales, and meet department goals.
- Provide associates with feedback on selling and account statistics.
- Develop and implement solutions to address customer problems and department needs.
