About The Position

PAM Health is hiring an Assistant Chief Nursing Officer to direct nursing service activities at an assigned hospital. The role focuses on ensuring nursing-unit and hospital safety, maintaining appropriate staffing to provide nursing care, and supporting staff productivity. The ACNO serves as a liaison between staff and administration and develops and implements nursing-service policies and procedures in compliance with PAM Health policies and procedures and accreditation standards.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure in good standing in the state where the hospital is located.
• At least five years of clinical nursing experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Three years of nursing-management experience preferred.
• Certification in a specified field preferred, such as CNE, CRRN, CCRN, or PCCN.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of the nursing unit(s) and hospital.
• Direct nursing service activities for the assigned hospital.
• Recommend staff-to-patient ratios and maintain a system for determining and providing adequate staffing for appropriate nursing care.
• Serve as a liaison between staff and administration.
• Promote staff productivity.
• Develop and implement nursing-service policies and procedures in compliance with PAM Health system policies and procedures and accreditation standards.
