The Assets Protection Specialist helps keep guests, team members, and the Target brand secure while reducing shortage and protecting profitable sales. The role uses surveillance, intelligence-led tactics, video systems, reporting, and Target’s Assets Protection practices to prevent and resolve theft and fraud. It also supports a safe, inclusive, and welcoming shopping experience, builds relationships with store leaders and public safety officials, and may involve apprehensions and participation in legal proceedings. The position is active and physically demanding, with a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping periods. The role requires mobility throughout a scheduled shift, adapting to varying environmental conditions while performing certain duties, and following safety and Assets Protection policies. Although the position is full-time, weekly hours are not guaranteed to be 40 and may fluctuate with business needs.
