Asset Protection Coordinator

CVS Health•Washington, DC
•$20 - $29

About The Position

The Asset Protection Coordinator (APC) improves the retail customer experience and helps mitigate company losses from external theft at assigned stores. The role requires strong customer service skills and experience implementing loss-prevention and operational strategies. The APC reports directly to the District Asset Protection Leader and collaborates with store leadership and specialized Asset Protection divisions. The APC monitors store activity, gathers information about theft and operational vulnerabilities, and wears a specialized CVS store uniform as a visible theft deterrent. This is not a covert shoplifting apprehension role: the APC does not apprehend suspected shoplifters and does not perform operational duties such as unloading deliveries or operating a POS terminal. The role includes assisting customers with protected merchandise, inspecting high-risk product categories, ensuring use of approved protection equipment and security labels, and preparing and reviewing external theft reports in the Auror system.

  • Physical ability to stand and/or move throughout the store for most of the work time.

  • Ability to engage and communicate effectively with customers and provide excellent customer service.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare and submit external theft reports and communicate with Asset Protection and Store Leadership teams.
