The Asset Protection Coordinator (APC) improves the retail customer experience and mitigates company losses from external theft at assigned stores. The role combines customer service with loss-prevention and operational strategies. It reports directly to the District Asset Protection Leader and works closely with store leadership and specialized Asset Protection teams. The APC monitors store activity, gathers information about theft and operational vulnerabilities, and wears a specialized CVS store uniform as a visible deterrent. This is not a covert shoplifter-apprehension role; the APC does not apprehend suspected shoplifters and does not perform operational duties such as unloading deliveries or operating a POS terminal. The APC greets and assists customers, including opening and securing locked shelves and showcases on request. They move throughout the store, inspect high-risk product categories, ensure approved product-protection equipment and security-labeling procedures are used, and communicate observations or suspected theft to Store Management. They prepare external-theft reports in the Auror system, review information about repeat offenders, share intelligence with stakeholders, and monitor compliance with asset-protection programs. This is a full-time position with 40 anticipated weekly hours. The schedule is flexible and includes nights and weekends. The listed pay range is $20.47–$29.47. The position is eligible for a benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, retirement savings options, wellness programs, and other resources, subject to eligibility.
