About The Position

The Asset Protection Associate is a highly visible store loss-prevention role requiring integrity, a positive attitude, and close attention to detail. The associate helps protect store assets and financial information while maintaining customer service and communicating potential theft or fraud risks to management.

Requirements

• Positive customer-service skills for interactions with store personnel and customers.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization, internally and externally.
• Attention to detail, time management, and ability to multitask.
• Must stand for the entire shift; sitting is not permitted while observing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor awareness and observe behavior or body language that may indicate possible theft.
• Communicate suspicious behavior to managers.
• Work with managers to ensure associates’ personal belongings are checked before they leave the store.
• Thank customers as they leave and invite them to return.
• Be prepared to stop and confront customers observed concealing merchandise.
• Provide police with detailed information about individuals who have stolen merchandise.
• Protect company assets and financial information by ensuring internal control procedures are accurate and effective, and inform management or appropriate officials of potential fraud risks.
