About The Position

Caterpillar Remanufacturing is hiring an Assembly I team member at its Corinth, Mississippi facility. The position performs basic assembly operations that are repetitive and have minimal complexity and variation. The work takes place in a fast-paced, safety- and quality-focused team environment, with limited close supervision. Operators follow production schedules and standard work, complete print reading and quality checks, and use computer systems to reference instructions and enter data. The role may also involve moving parts with overhead cranes, hoists, or an electric pallet jack. Cross-training in other operations roles may be required when the candidate meets applicable qualifications and physical requirements. The position is scheduled for 5 a.m.–3 p.m., Monday through Thursday, for a 40-hour work week, with potential overtime. The facility is climate-controlled in most areas. Starting hourly pay is $17.05, with pay negotiations based on skills and experience; the listed summary pay range is $17.05–$22.15. Employment is conditional on completing required pre-employment screenings, including background, drug and alcohol, and post-offer medical screening. Visa sponsorship and relocation assistance are not available.

Requirements

Basic computer experience, including the ability to read standard work documents and enter data.
Ability to read, write, and interpret documents.
Ability to meet the physical requirements, including standing for up to 10 or more hours per shift; walking, squatting, and bending for 15–30-minute intervals; wearing proper PPE; and repeatedly lifting, pushing, or pulling parts up to 30 pounds.
Ability to handle a physically demanding, high-volume, fast-paced operation.
Current agency workers applying must have completed the required 300 hours and meet all position requirements.
Successful completion of required pre-employment background, drug and alcohol, and post-offer medical screenings.

Nice To Haves

Prior use of hoists.
Knowledge of engines and components.
Experience with assembly or disassembly tooling, including hand tools, air tools, or pneumatic tools.

Responsibilities

Perform basic assembly processes in a fast-paced, safety- and quality-focused team environment.
Follow contamination control guidelines and Built in Safety guidelines.
Read prints and perform quality checks as defined by standard work.
Use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, gauges, hoists, presses, and other tools as needed.
Follow production schedules.
Use computer systems, including MES, BIQ, Pinpoint, and Epix, to reference work instructions and prints and enter data.
Move parts in and out of the work area, potentially using overhead cranes or hoists and/or an electric pallet jack.
Cross-train in other operations areas to provide flexibility; other Salary Grade 1 roles may include Cleaning 1, Disassembly 1, and Logistics 1.
Work independently without close supervision while maintaining attention to detail and self-motivation.
