About The Position

Vermeer is seeking a dedicated team player to assemble equipment and subassemblies that meet the company’s quality standards and customers’ needs. The role uses digital instructions and established processes to complete a variety of assembly tasks, including aligning and fastening components to torque specifications, installing and testing moving parts, inspecting painted parts, and applying decals, logos, and safety notices. The position also supports workplace organization and continuous improvement efforts. The role is onsite at a Vermeer campus, and no travel is expected.

Requirements

• Ability to complete Vermeer Assembly Training.
• Ability to repeatedly complete a specified number of tasks within a specified amount of time.
• Ability to consistently meet quality expectations.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

• Follow job instructions to assemble equipment and subassemblies according to Vermeer quality standards.
• Align components and bolts, fasten them to torque specifications, install moving parts, and test that parts move as intended.
• Inspect painted parts for quality.
• Apply decals, company logos, safety warning notices, and other items to finished products; attach doors, panels, and other machine guarding as needed.
• Calculate figures and use basic mathematical functions, including fractions and decimals.
• Support departmental 5S and workplace organization goals, offer suggestions, and make improvements that help achieve department performance-board metrics.
