About The Position

The Assembler II - Kitting role coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedules. The position reads job orders and bills of materials, arranges delivery or distribution of supplies and parts, and moves and checks totes and parts to support production. The role also communicates with supervisors about progress and changes, identifies equipment and tooling maintenance needs, works at different workstations as production requires, and maintains a clean and safe work area while using required safety equipment and apparel.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Demonstrated proficiency with handheld tools and other measuring devices.
• Demonstrated proficiency with written and verbal communication and/or instruction.
• Team-oriented approach and ability to operate as a team player.
• Ability to collaborate, engage others in discussion, and take a hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Ability to quickly learn business processes to manage and serve organizational needs.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend job orders and bills of materials.
• Arrange delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite material flow and meet production schedules.
• Move totes to tables, check that all parts are complete, move parts to shelves, and make copies of paperwork.
• Confer with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
• Identify maintenance needed on equipment and tooling.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
• Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
• Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on the individual’s product line or work cell.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
