About The Position

Dover Food Retail is seeking an Assembler II - Kitting in Operations. Kitting coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedules. The role involves reading job orders and bills of materials, arranging the delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies and parts, moving and checking totes and parts, and supporting production needs across workstations. The employee reports to the Production Supervisor and works the 3rd shift.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Demonstrated proficiency with handheld tools and other measuring devices.
• Demonstrated proficiency with written and verbal communication and/or instruction.
• Team-oriented approach and ability to operate as a team player.
• Ability to collaborate, engage others in discussion, and take a hands-on approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend job orders and bills of materials.
• Arrange delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite material flow and meet production schedules.
• Move totes to tables, check that all parts are complete, move parts to shelves, and make copies of paperwork.
• Confer with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
• Identify maintenance needed on equipment and tooling.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Use the proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on the individual’s product line or work cell.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
