About The Position

The Assembler II - Kitting role coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedules. The position involves reviewing job orders and bills of materials, arranging for the delivery, assembly, or distribution of parts and supplies, and moving and checking materials to support production. The employee may work at different workstations as production needs require and is expected to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area and use required safety equipment and apparel. This is a third-shift, hourly, non-exempt position in Operations that reports to the Production Supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Proficiency with handheld tools and other measuring devices.
• Proficiency with written and verbal communication and/or instruction.
• Team-oriented approach and ability to collaborate, engage others in discussion, and take a hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Ability to learn business processes quickly and serve organizational needs.
• Attention to getting things right and a can-do attitude committed to finding solutions.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend job orders and bills of materials.
• Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite material flow and meet production schedules.
• Move totes to tables, check that all parts are complete, move parts to shelves, and make copies of paperwork.
• Confer with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
• Identify maintenance needed on equipment and tooling.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Use the proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on the individual’s product line or work cell.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
