Armed (Flex) Security Guard Needed! - Little Rock, AR
About The Position
Premier Protective Security (PPS) is hiring a flex Armed Security Guard in Little Rock, Arkansas. The role helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by safeguarding and patrolling client premises, enforcing site regulations and directives, providing customer service and information, and responding calmly to incidents and critical situations. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. This is a flex position with no set schedule, paid at $18.50 per hour. Candidates must bring their own compatible personal firearm and meet the stated armed-security experience, licensing, and other qualifications. Offers are contingent on security certification, drug screening, background screening, E-Verification approval, onboarding, and approval and interview with the assigned site manager.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of prior armed security experience.
- Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience; experience is required for armed roles.
- Must have a personal semi-automatic firearm and two magazines; listed calibers are 9mm, .40 caliber, or .45 caliber.
- Must have an Armed Security License for the State of Arkansas.
- Customer service experience, ability to navigate phone apps, and ability to write reports.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
- Clean, valid driver's license.
- Ability to obtain security certification according to state requirements, pass a drug screen and background check, obtain E-Verification approval, complete onboarding, and receive approval and interview with the assigned site manager.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, and safeguard client premises.
- Preserve order by enforcing regulations and directives for the client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
- Remain attentive to potential risks or incidents on client premises.
