About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Flex Armed / Tactical Security Guard for assignments in San Francisco, East Bay, and South Bay, California. This role requires keen observation, risk awareness, and the ability to respond appropriately to changing situations. Guards patrol environments such as retail stores, airports, and detention centers, and must be able to move around and remain on their feet throughout the shift.

The position has no set schedule. Candidates must be available any day of the week and for day, swing, or overnight shifts, depending on scheduling needs. Requirements

• Hold a state security license and have completed additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional training may be obtained during the hiring process.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have one year of armed security experience.
• Have an active exposed firearm permit.
• Have a baton permit.
• Have an OC spray permit.
• Have a handcuff permit.
• Provide an up-to-date security resume.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be able to stand and walk for the entire shift.

Nice To Haves

• First aid certification.
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to identify suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check that alarms and cameras are functioning properly.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
