About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Flex Armed / Tactical Security Guard to protect people and property across sites in San Francisco, East Bay, and South Bay, California. The role requires alert observation, anticipating risks, responding to incidents, and patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, and detention centers. The guard must be able to stand and walk throughout the shift and be available to work any day of the week and any shift, including day, swing, or overnight, as scheduling needs vary. GardaWorld provides a uniform at no cost and offers career growth opportunities. The position pays $33–$35 per hour depending on the site pay rate, and DailyPay is available. Candidates must hold a state security license, complete additional 32-hour BSIS security training, and have at least one year of armed security experience. Required permits include an active exposed firearm permit, baton permit, OC spray permit, and handcuff permit. Candidates must be at least 21, authorized to work in the United States, and able to provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED. First aid certification is an asset. A current security resume should be included with the application. Security, military, or law enforcement experience is an advantage.

Requirements

• Hold a state security license and complete additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional training may be obtained during the hiring process.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have at least one year of armed security experience.

• Have an OC spray permit.
• Have a handcuff permit.
• Include an up-to-date security resume.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Be able to provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be able to stand and walk for the entire shift.
• Be flexible and available to work any day of the week and any shift, including day, swing, or overnight.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to identify suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check that alarms and cameras are functioning properly.

• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
