About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Guard Flex Officer to serve and safeguard clients in industries including healthcare, education, and finance. Officers use a shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts based on availability, gaining experience across different sites. The role may involve irregular shifts with little or no advance notice. The position is located in Golden and pays $27.00 per hour, with weekly pay.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company- or customer-owned vehicle.
• Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen, subject to applicable laws.
• At least 18 years of age, or older if required by state law; at least 21 years old if armed.
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
• Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write clearly, informatively, and accurately.
• Active listening and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations, identify critical issues quickly and accurately, and mediate conflict tactfully and diplomatically.
• Teamwork and attention to detail.
• No prior experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in the event of a fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized property removal follows client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
