Operator - Little Rock, AR
About The Position
The Operator at MacroSource’s Little Rock, Arkansas terminal supports the efficient loading and transfer of dry and liquid fertilizers. The role uses approved tools and methods and operates equipment including front-end loaders, skid steers, bulk conveying equipment, pumps, valves, piping, and automation systems. It also includes general equipment maintenance and facility housekeeping. Operators must follow company safety protocols and procedures, including requirements for personal protective equipment, ladders, respiratory protection, and fall protection. Typical working hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.; overtime, including some nights and weekends, may be required.
Requirements
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures, including mandatory use of company-supplied personal protective equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toe or sturdy leather boots.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at elevated heights, and around water while following respiratory and fall protection guidelines.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- English proficiency for safe and effective communication in a safety-sensitive environment.
- Willingness to undergo a drug test and background check.
- Flexibility to work overtime, including some nights and weekends, as required.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in a fertilizer terminal is a plus, but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Load trucks and railcars with dry fertilizer using approved tools and methods.
- Transfer dry fertilizer using front-end loaders, skid steers, and bulk conveying equipment.
- Transfer liquid fertilizer using pumps, valves, piping, and automation systems.
- Perform general equipment maintenance using appropriate tools.
- Follow guidelines for ascending and descending ladders on railcars, trucks, towers, and platforms.
- Maintain the facility and grounds through proper housekeeping.
