On-Call Arena Attendant

About The Position

The Arena Attendant is responsible for maintaining and cleaning the receiving barns and arena, preparing event spaces, and performing related maintenance. The role includes setting up and tearing down events, maintaining arena equipment and systems, and operating heavy equipment. The attendant also helps ensure event areas and facilities are clean, organized, presentable, and safe.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to walk, stand, lift, shovel, rake, reach, bend, and twist throughout the shift.
Must be skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
Must have strong communication skills.
Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and cleaning of the receiving barns.
Maintain pipe and drape, staging, the Truss Grid system, equipment, plumbing, and other related arena systems and equipment.
Set up and tear down events.
Thoroughly clean shed rows and stalls daily before horses and livestock arrive; rake shed rows and stalls.
Keep the receiving arena and barn presentable for events.
Hang gates and screw eyes, change light bulbs, and perform other receiving arena and barn maintenance.
Maintain stage risers to ensure safety.
Maintain pipe and drape, chair risers, and chairs.
Change arena lighting as necessary.
Clean and organize arena assets.
Operate heavy equipment, including forklifts, tractors, sky tracks, and boom lifts.
Oversee connections between touring events and house electrical equipment.
Clean the floor and building.
