About The Position

The Catering Attendant delivers and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the catering captain and ensures events are executed accurately. The role may include driving a catering delivery truck. Duties include setting up and serving functions, cleaning during and after events, breaking down the setup, leaving the area neat and clean, and returning leftover food and equipment to the catering facility in a timely manner.

Requirements

Catering attendant, event server, and/or buffet server experience is required.
A valid driver's license may be required.
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers' permit where required by state law.

Responsibilities

Assemble and deliver food and supplies for catered functions to their scheduled locations.
Log and maintain food temperatures.
Arrange tables and decorations.
Arrange buffet tables with food, beverages, and service items according to standards.
Serve food and beverages to guests.
Thoroughly clean the location after an event is completed.
Return food, beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the catering facility.
Distribute and collect customer comment cards for catered functions.
Stock, clean, and maintain the catering facility and equipment.
Ensure guests receive friendly, courteous service.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of the complete menu and products on hand.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Follow safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
