About The Position

Flowers Bakeries is hiring an Area Sales Director to support direct store delivery (DSD) sales and Independent Distributors (IDs). The role supports distributors in managing customer relationships, conducting sales activities, growing customer bases, finding new selling opportunities, and tracking sales data. The director also builds and maintains relationships with key accounts to support promotion and display execution in the market, using digital tools to demonstrate execution results and identify growth opportunities. The Area Sales Director works with a Market Vice President and the Sales Enablement team to analyze market and territory opportunities, maximize sales, and adjust sales strategies using consumer insights.

Requirements

At least 5 years of relevant experience in general management or sales.
Experience as a sales representative, distributor, or in another sales position.
Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT Medical Card.
Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
Must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Sales or Business Administration, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Support DSD sales and Independent Distributors.
Support Independent Distributors in managing customer relationships and engaging in sales activities.
Help Independent Distributors grow their customer base and identify new selling opportunities in the market.
Support the tracking of sales data.
Build and maintain relationships with key accounts to help ensure promotion and display execution.
Use digital tools to show execution wins and opportunities for continued growth.
Work with the Market Vice President and Sales Enablement team to analyze market and territory opportunities and maximize sales.
Use consumer insights to adjust sales strategies.
