About The Position

Flowers Bakeries is seeking an Area Sales Director to support direct store delivery (DSD) sales and Independent Distributors (IDs). The role supports distributors in managing customer relationships, conducting sales activities, growing their customer bases, identifying new market opportunities, and tracking sales data. It also builds and maintains relationships with key accounts to help ensure promotions and displays are executed in the market. Digital tools are used to demonstrate execution results and identify opportunities for growth. The Area Sales Director works with a Market Vice President and the Sales Enablement team to analyze market and territory opportunities, maximize sales, and adapt sales strategies using consumer insights.

Requirements

At least 5 years of relevant experience in general management or sales.
Experience as a sales representative, distributor, or in another sales position.
Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT Medical Card.
Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
Must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Sales or Business Administration, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Support DSD sales and Independent Distributors.
Support Independent Distributors in managing customer relationships and engaging in sales activities.
Help Independent Distributors grow their customer bases and identify new selling opportunities in the market.
Track sales data.
Build and maintain relationships with key accounts to help ensure promotion and display execution in the market.
Use digital tools to show execution wins and identify opportunities for continued growth.
Work with the Market Vice President and Sales Enablement team to analyze market and territory opportunities and maximize sales.
Use consumer insights to adjust sales strategies.
