About The Position

The Area Sales & Design Specialist drives sales growth and provides design consultation to clients. The role works on-site at assigned Home Depot stores within a specific territory, managing relationships with store leaders and associates and using store employees and customer traffic to generate leads and sales. The specialist manages a sales pipeline, plans and executes lead-generating events, and leverages event sales. They also train others and communicate product knowledge, provide store leaders with sales performance and merchandising updates, and maintain Tuff Shed displays and signage. Work includes weekends, holidays, and some evenings.

Requirements

Availability to work standard retail hours, including weekends, holidays, and some evenings.
Proven relationship-building skills.
Current valid driver's license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
Proven computer skills and aptitude to learn new software.
Self-direction and ability to work independently and build relationships.

Responsibilities

Drive sales growth and provide design consultation services to clients.
Work on-site at assigned Home Depot stores within a specific territory.
Manage relationships with Home Depot store leaders and associates, and leverage store employees and customer traffic to generate leads and sales.
Manage a sales pipeline.
Plan, coordinate, and execute lead-generating events and leverage event sales.
Train others and communicate product knowledge.
Partner with Home Depot leaders to provide updates on sales performance, merchandising, and displays.
Ensure Tuff Shed displays are presentable, clean, and maintained, and that signage is updated.
