About The Position

Community Access Services is hiring an Area Relief Direct Support Professional (AR DSP) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) across multiple programs. As an AR DSP, you will be assigned where coverage is needed most across our programs. This role requires flexibility to work at different locations, across all shifts—including day, swing, and overnight shifts—and weekends. You must be willing and able to adjust to varying schedules, locations, and support environments based on program needs. Your reliability, adaptability, and willingness to work a flexible schedule help ensure uninterrupted, high-quality care for the individuals we serve.

Requirements

Experience in a direct care role and working with individuals with disabilities required
Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving requirements to become a company driver
Ability to pass a national background check
Strong reliability and willingness to work across multiple locations and program settings as needed
Flexibility to work day, swing, and overnight shifts, including weekends
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility needs

Responsibilities

Building positive, supportive relationships with individuals served
Assisting with daily living activities such as cooking, personal care, hygiene, and household tasks
Supporting individuals in community settings, including outings, appointments, recreation, and personal goals
Providing support in employment settings and helping individuals work toward their employment goals
Encouraging independence, confidence, and skill development
Administering medications and completing documentation accurately
Maintaining safe, clean, and welcoming environments
Advocating for the choices, dignity, and well-being of the people you support
Adapting to the unique needs of individuals and programs across multiple locations
