About The Position

Community Concierge Services (CCS) is hiring a hands-on Area Operations Manager to lead employees, service quality, and client relationships across an assigned district. CCS provides doorstep waste and recycling collection for apartment communities nationwide and has more than 700 employees serving over 175,000 apartment homes each night. The role offers broader responsibility across multiple communities with a growing, founder-led company. The position combines evening field leadership with daytime recruiting, administrative work, and client communication. Peak operating hours are 6 p.m. to midnight, and evening and weekend availability is essential because service operates seven days a week. The manager regularly travels between properties and markets, and may travel to neighboring areas. The role involves arranging coverage for call-offs and no-shows and personally covering routes when other options are exhausted. Fieldwork includes extended walking, repeated stair climbing, carrying bagged trash, and working outdoors. Daytime flexibility depends on completing responsibilities and meeting operational needs; service or staffing issues may require work beyond typical operating hours. The position requires a full-time commitment and cannot be performed alongside another full-time job. Compensation is a $65,000 annual base salary paid biweekly, plus an opportunity for a $10,000 annual performance-based bonus paid quarterly based on performance. A company vehicle is provided for work-related use, with fuel and maintenance covered. Company-sponsored health insurance is available for the employee and family, and a 401(k) match is offered after 12 months. CCS also describes flexibility in organizing daytime work around completed responsibilities and operational needs, and opportunities for increased responsibility and advancement as the company expands. The hiring process includes an onsite work preview to let candidates see the service environment, understand the physical demands, and ask questions about the schedule and day-to-day responsibilities before accepting an offer.
