About The Position

The Area Manager provides multi-site operational leadership for AlphaBEST after-school programs in the Los Angeles/Orange County area. The role oversees multiple school locations and supports programs that advance children’s physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development. The Area Manager works with staff, parents, school administrators, peers, and the Regional Leadership Team to develop AlphaBEST’s presence in the area, address stakeholder concerns, and foster positive relationships across the community. The company provides training and mentorship for the position.

Requirements

• BA or BS in a related field.
• Strong organizational and supervisory skills, preferably in a multi-site environment.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Enthusiastic, energetic, creative, and sensitive to children.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with a diverse population.
• Knowledge of state policies and procedures regarding child care regulations.
• Proven ability to provide a supportive and caring environment for children.
• Ability to oversee and manage multiple school locations in the district.

Responsibilities

• Ensure engaging programs support children’s physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development across area program sites.
• Collaborate with peers, the Regional Leadership Team, staff, parents, and school administrators to develop AlphaBEST’s brand in the area.
• Respond to and resolve concerns from stakeholders.
• Hire and develop diverse, high-performing team members, including Site Directors and Group Leaders.
• Evaluate program safety and performance and make corrections as necessary.
• Build sustainable community partnerships with local business leaders and organizations.
• Maintain existing customer relationships and develop new growth opportunities.
• Provide a caring, family-oriented environment that fosters positive relationships among staff, children, parents, and schools.
