About The Position

This position is responsible for implementing the business plan for their area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals in production, quality, and safety. The role involves monitoring and managing productivity through business reports, maintaining quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained and compliant, and resolving associate, customer, and supplier concerns. Additionally, the Area Manager will supervise and develop associates and leaders, manage the execution of QA guidelines, procedures, and programs, and oversee systems hardware and software maintenance and installation, including troubleshooting with the Information Systems Division (ISD) and vendors. The role emphasizes a culture of belonging, continuous improvement, and ethical conduct, aligning with Walmart's values and sustainability goals.

Requirements

Associate's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field and 1 year supervisory experience OR Bachelor's Degree in a Business, Logistics or related field OR 2 years Walmart logistics experience OR 2 years supervisory experience.
Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments.

Responsibilities

Implement the business plan for area of responsibility by communicating goals and managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads.
Monitor and manage productivity of area of responsibility by preparing, reviewing, and/or analyzing business reports.
Maintain quality and safety standards in area of responsibility by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, standards, and procedures, monitoring associate compliance, and distributing/maintaining procedures and supporting documentation.
Identify associate, customer, and/or supplier concerns by listening and consulting with others to determine corrective action or make recommendations.
Supervise and develop associates and leaders in area of responsibility by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and identifying training needs.
Manage the execution of QA guidelines, procedures, and programs by identifying ways to increase building efficiency and maintain inventory integrity.
Manage systems hardware and software maintenance and installation by overseeing installation, ensuring repairs are completed, and tracking inventory and ordering system components.
Manage the troubleshooting of systems applications by working on systems problem resolution with Information Systems Division (ISD) and vendors.
