About The Position

This position is responsible for implementing the business plan for their area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals. They will monitor and manage productivity, maintain quality and safety standards, and identify and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns. The role involves supervising and developing associates and leaders, managing the execution of QA guidelines, procedures, and programs, and overseeing systems hardware and software maintenance and installation. Additionally, the Area Manager will troubleshoot systems applications by working with the Information Systems Division (ISD) and vendors to resolve problems and support the continuing development of current and future systems applications. Requirements

Associate's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field and 1 year supervisory experience OR Bachelor's Degree in a Business, Logistics or related field OR 2 years Walmart logistics experience OR 2 years supervisory experience.
Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities

Implement the business plan for area of responsibility by communicating goals and managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals.
Monitor and manage productivity of area of responsibility by preparing, reviewing, and/or analyzing business reports.
Maintain quality and safety standards in area of responsibility by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, standards, and procedures, monitoring associate compliance, and distributing and maintaining procedures and supporting documentation.
Identify associate, customer, and/or supplier concerns by listening and consulting with others to determine corrective action or make recommendations.
Supervise and develop associates and leaders in area of responsibility by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, providing feedback, teaching, supporting, and modeling policies and procedures, identifying training needs, and participating in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation.
Manage the execution of QA guidelines, procedures, and programs by identifying ways to increase building efficiency and maintain inventory integrity.
Manage systems hardware and software maintenance and installation by overseeing installation of new/replacement/additional systems, ensuring repairs on existing systems, and tracking inventory and ordering system components.
Manage the troubleshooting of systems applications by working on systems problem resolution with Information Systems Division (ISD) and vendors and supporting the continuing development of current and future systems applications.
