About The Position

This role involves managing the Quality Assurance and Systems for a specific area within the company. The Area Manager will be responsible for implementing the business plan, monitoring productivity, maintaining quality and safety standards, and managing systems hardware and software. They will also supervise and develop associates and leaders, troubleshoot systems applications, and contribute to the company's goal of becoming a regenerative company by making a positive impact. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field and 1 year supervisory experience OR Bachelor's Degree in a Business, Logistics or related field OR 2 years Walmart logistics experience OR 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the business plan for area of responsibility by communicating goals and managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads.
  • Monitor and manage productivity of area of responsibility by preparing, reviewing, and/or analyzing business reports.
  • Maintain quality and safety standards in area of responsibility by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, monitoring compliance, and distributing procedures.
  • Identify associate, customer, and/or supplier concerns by listening and consulting with others to determine corrective action.
  • Supervise and develop associates and leaders in area of responsibility by assigning duties, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and identifying training needs.
  • Manage the execution of QA guidelines, procedures, and programs by identifying ways to increase building efficiency and maintain inventory integrity.
  • Manage systems hardware and software maintenance and installation by overseeing work, ensuring repairs are completed, and tracking inventory.
  • Manage the troubleshooting of systems applications by working on problem resolution with Information Systems Division (ISD) and vendors.
