This position is responsible for implementing the business plan for their area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals in production, quality, and safety. They will monitor and manage the productivity of their area by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports. This role maintains quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on logistics and company policies, monitoring compliance, and distributing procedures. They will identify and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns. The Area Manager will supervise and develop associates and leaders by assigning duties, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and identifying training needs. This role also manages the execution of QA guidelines, procedures, and programs, identifying ways to increase building efficiency and maintain inventory integrity. Additionally, they will manage systems hardware and software maintenance and installation, oversee troubleshooting of systems applications with the Information Systems Division (ISD) and vendors, and support the continuing development of current and future systems applications. The role emphasizes building high-performing teams, embracing differences, creating a culture of belonging, and empowering associates to thrive. It also involves acting with integrity, upholding ethical standards, and supporting Walmart's goal of becoming a regenerative company.
