This position implements the business plan for the area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals in production, quality, and safety. The role involves monitoring and managing the productivity of the area of responsibility by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports. It also requires maintaining quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, monitoring compliance, distributing procedures, and supporting documentation. The Area Manager identifies and resolves associate, customer, and supplier concerns. They supervise and develop associates and leaders by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, providing feedback, teaching, supporting, and modeling policies and procedures, identifying training needs, and participating in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation. The role manages the maintenance department's daily operations, ensuring performance related to maintaining warehouse equipment (material handling, pneumatic, electrical, air compressors, refrigeration, general building repairs) and compliance with state and federal regulations (OSHA, Hazardous Waste, NFPA, Storm Water, DOT). Financial aspects are managed as assigned, including monitoring expenses and capital expenditures against budget, asset utilization, and preparing business reports.
