Requirements

  • Minimum of eight-year progressive Catering, Meeting and Event Management experience in a full-service hotel environment with proven results, preferred.
  • Knowledge of hotel operational departments.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, reach, and lift/pull/push 35 plus pounds regularly throughout the shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Meetings & Events or other relevant fields of study, preferred.
  • Delphi and Social-Tables experience, preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Preferred proficiency in FDC.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to incoming leads and actively prospect new catering business to drive revenue.
  • Conduct site visits and presentations to convert opportunities into confirmed bookings.
  • Plan, coordinate, and service all booked catering events, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Meetings and Events to implement annual sales strategies, including targeted promotions and sales blitzes.
  • Partner with Culinary and F&B teams to create customized menus that delight clients.
  • Manage event documentation, including Banquet Event Orders and resumes, and distribute to all relevant departments for flawless operations.
  • Schedule and lead pre- and post-convention meetings as needed, reinforcing client confidence and encouraging rebooking.
  • Solicit client feedback through Meeting Planner Surveys and use insights to enhance future experiences.
  • Work closely with the Financial Service Center to ensure accurate billing and credit processes.
  • Participate in departmental and property meetings, contributing ideas and updates to support overall success.
  • Take on special projects as assigned by the Director of Meetings and Events.
  • Regular attendance in conformance with standards.
  • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
  • Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
