About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Arborist to join a growing team. This year-round position involves leading a crew in providing arboricultural care for clients. Work is sold during the summer and booked for December through April. Requirements

Strong knowledge of tree care practices and techniques.
Proficiency with equipment used to complete tree service work.
Experience operating bucket trucks for elevated work.
Familiarity with rigging techniques for safe branch and tree-section removal.
Ability to identify common tree species and recognize signs of disease or damage.
Excellent physical fitness and stamina to climb trees and perform physically demanding tasks.
Attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
Ability to complete First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving courses upon hire.
Love of the outdoors.

Responsibilities

Safely and productively lead a crew in providing arboricultural care for clients.
Prepare for jobsite hazards and obstacles.
Create a work plan and determine which equipment will be used to complete each job.
Prune trees, thin canopies, and remove deadwood throughout tree canopies.
Install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems.
Remove hazardous trees.
Mentor crew members through the Bratt Tree Arborist Development Program.
Maintain, prepare, and operate tools and equipment, including chainsaws, bucket trucks, and aerial lifts.
