About The Position

Lucas Tree Experts is hiring a full-time, year-round Arborist Trainee for outdoor physical labor in Exeter, New Hampshire. No prior tree-industry experience is necessary. The company provides paid, hands-on training, including CDL training, and pays for licensing and certifications, with wage increases for each credential obtained. Requirements

• Must be able to work 45 hours weekly.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must have a current, valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work outdoors in various types of weather.
• Must be physically able to perform the job, including walking on uneven ground and carrying 75 pounds.
• Must be willing to work at varying heights.
• Must be willing and able to learn to operate a bucket truck and equipment safely.
• Must be willing and able to obtain a CDL A or B license.
• Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain licenses and certifications required for the position.
• Must successfully complete a post-offer physical and drug screen, as well as background and motor vehicle checks.

Responsibilities

• Manually remove vegetation from work areas.
• Apply pesticides.
• Safely operate forestry equipment, including skidders, mowers, chainsaws, and ATVs.
• Perform line clearance, pruning, and tree removals.
• Learn skills such as felling, climbing, rigging, equipment operation, and vegetation management.
